ICD Freight Owner Operator Program Explained:
The freight- ICD Freight operates primarily in the Midwest and expands out to KS, IA, NE, MO, ND, SD, OK, TX, MN, WI, MI, IL, IN, OH, PA, NJ, MD, GA. ICD Freight operates off of 80-85% customer contract freight rates. The aggregate economy may affect many owner operators, but not if you are partnered with us as our rates are locked in at contracted freight rates. 50% of our loads our drop N hook, and we run dry van with a few flatbedders being the exception. We operate in partnership with fortune 500 customers we have developed lifetime relationships with to keep you moving and keep your pay consistent.
Speaking of Rates- NO CARRIER, can BEAT our program! We pay our owner operator partners 72% of linehaul, and we are also a full-disclosure company. This is great for you because you never have to guess the percentage of what it is that you are getting, you can ask to see a rate con, but regardless your dispatcher will explain the rates and email you a breakdown of load payment details when you accept the load. That is not all- we offer 100% fuel surcharge based on weekly fluctuations on the Department of Energie’s national Diesel average. This means you receive a percentage of linehaul plus your fuel surcharge rate on all your loaded miles. For the last few weeks, that rate has been around $.48 CPM FSC. As an example, 2000 loaded miles would be close to $1,000 in your pocket JUST in fuel surcharge. Weekly settlements and direct deposit every Friday. Safety also appreciates the work you do, the wonderful thing about this is you can earn up to $500 per quarter, $2,000 per year in safety bonuses!
NO Nickeling and no diming around here!
We do not charge our owner ops any admin fees, dispatch fees, trailer fees etc. We equip you with our electronic logging equipment and require all owner operators to maintain a $1,500 escrow security account minimum to be built up at around $200 per week. This is the minimum amount required and is kept at this amount to account for any deductibles, incidentals, etc, and is refundable if you decide to leave the company. As an owner operator, you can add additional funds in this account to save for maintenance, tires, breakdowns, etc, simply let our accounting manager know!
We are a small carrier but have great safety scores. You will love this because as an owner operator the 3 insurances that are required for you to obtain are competitively priced for our fleet. We cover auto liability insurance, and cargo insurance. You are responsible for Physical damage insurance, bobtail insurance, and occupational accident insurance.
