Overland Park, Kansas, based YRC, a freight hauling company, announced it will cut 126 positions at its Akron and Columbus, Ohio facilities. In a statement, the company said it will give its affected employees notice between April 8 and April 22.
Some of the affected employees will be given the option to transfer to other facilities.
Employees affected will be:
*64 drivers
*33 dock workers
*18 mechanics
*6 switchers
*On April 24, 2012- 5 in administration at the Akron location will be terminated
YRC’s Dayton, Florida facility operates under the Holland Inc. name.
