Averitt Express: The new “Knights of the Highway” wear red

Published:

Years ago, truck drivers were called “Knights of the Highway” because they were always on hand to help a fellow driver in distress.

The first on the scene of a crash, they helped trucking earn a well-deserved reputation for being an upstanding and honorable profession.

Over the years, things have changed in the trucking industry. Many drivers are a little less likely to go out of their way to help other drivers. The way that the public perceives the trucking industry is different now.

A New Breed Of Knights

Averitt Express drivers are becoming the new Knights of the Highway by shaping the reputation of the trucking industry in a whole new way.

They’re doing it by standing out in red uniforms.

They’re doing it by winning multiple awards for their service.

And most importantly, they’re doing it by helping others when disaster strikes.
