Texas police have confirmed that a person was killed at a Love’s truck stop on Tuesday.
The fatal accident happened around 6:30 on Tuesday night at the Love’s Travel Stop in Anthony, Texas.
Details surrounding the incident remain limited at this time, but a witness told CDLLife that the person who was killed was a driver who had just gone into the store location for food and was returning to his truck when he was struck by another semi truck.
The driver died at the scene.
The driver has been identified as a 56 year old California resident.
According to CBS 4, the semi truck that struck the victim did not remain at the scene. The truck driver involved was reportedly located and stopped at a checkpoint in New Mexico.
The incident is under investigation by the local police
