This house haul resulted in 25 violations, including 5 out of service violations, Georgia DPS says

Published:

An ill-fated attempt to move a home on a Georgia roadway resulted in officers uncovering dozens of violations after the truck broke down.

In an October 6 social media post, the Georgia Department of Public Safety detailed the oversized load haul gone very, very wrong:

Here is an example of when you try and do the right thing but do the opposite. A local agency requested SGT Fowler (Region D) to inspect this CMV that had a mechanical breakdown in the roadway in Monroe County. The company had a valid permit to move this load but did not have the required law enforcement escort or height sensor required. Along with the driver not having a valid CDL, he knowingly had a flat tire on the trailer. This driver racked up 25 violations, five being out of service.
