A video of a driver struggling to get into his truck has been circulating the internet recently, sparking debate over whether to offer the man help or ridicule.
In the clip, a truck driver appears to be very intoxicated, staggering his truck and struggling to get the keys in it to unlock the door.
While some viewer’s immediate reaction was ridicule or concern, others chimed in to point out that the situation may not be as bad as it seems.
“Do you see him driving? he’s probably going to sleep it off, he’s probably on his 34 hr restart, don’t be so quick to judge,” commented one.
“That what happens when truck drivers work hard and drive 70 hours in a week to only get 34 hours reset and back at it again 70 hours,” added another.
“He may be having a bad vertigo episode, I’ve seen it and it looks the same,” suggested a third.
What would you do if you saw this driver? Help him out? Ask if he’s okay? Mind your own business as long as he didn’t try to drive off?
