A truck driver was found dead inside of his truck cab after veering off of an Indiana interstate on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened on July 24th on Interstate 65 just north of the Indiana 43 exit in Lafayette, Indiana at around 3:30 p.m.
According to… the semi truck veered off of the interstate and came to a rest in the woods a substantial distance from the highway.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the truck driver unresponsive inside of the commercial vehicle, and were unable to revive him. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The driver was identified only as a man in his 60s not from Indiana. The trucking company he was driving for is based out of Illinois.
The accident and the trucker’s death are still under investigation. An autopsy of the man is scheduled for Friday, July 26th.
