Motorists captured an apparent road rage battle between two semi truck drivers that was captured earlier this month on an interstate in New Mexico.
The incident occurred on July 9, 2023, on I-40 in New Mexico.
The dash cammers explain the events leading to the moment that one semi truck driver ran another off the road and cause it to roll over:
“While driving east on interstate I-40 to Amarillo, TX from Albuquerque, NM, we were following semi rig #1 for over an hour, and he was a good, polite driver the entire time. Driver #2 is trying to go faster than the rest of traffic, so #1 moves to the right lane to get out of #2’s way just as #2 is trying to pass #1 on the right. #2 thinks that #1 cut him off and gets angry. Just past mile marker 289, #2 then proceeds to get beside #1 and commences to bully #1 off the road and onto the shoulder before using his rig to physically bump #1 off the road which causes #1 to overturn. #2 then drives away. I was the first person on the scene and helped #1 out of his cab through the front window. He had some minor scrapes, cuts, and bruises, but was otherwise ok. Less than 30 minutes after the state trooper arrived and called in the description of #2’s rig, he was stopped and talking with police. I have no further info on either driver.“
