Sheriff alerts truckers to three suspects trying to enter parked big rigs

The Brookings County Sheriffs Office (BCSO) out of South Dakota is warning truckers to be on the alert following a report of multiple individuals attempting to open semi truck doors in a business lot.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on June 21 in a business parking lot in the 200 block of Industrial Drive in Volga, South Dakota.

From BCSO:

On the above date and time, an employee of a business at the above location was inside his semi-truck when three unknown individuals attempted to open the door to his truck. One of the three individuals was wearing a bandana and the other two were carrying backpacks. After unsuccessfully attempting to enter the occupied truck, the three were seen attempting to enter other trucks, however, were also unsuccessful.

BCSO reported finding three bicycles abandoned in the area.
