Texas town trolls rubberneckers with hilarious video

Published:

The internet got a good collective chuckle today when the city of Southlake, Texas, decided to take aim at rubberneckers.

On Thursday, October 4, a stalled pickup truck apparently caused a major traffic slowdown in the city of Southlake, thanks in no small part to a bunch of looky-loos who needed to get a glimpse of the vehicle.

The Southlake DPS took to Facebook to address the rubberneckers:

Fair citizens, there’s a stalled white truck parked in the exit median eastbound at the Dove exit.
This may seem crazy, but you do not (we repeat DO NOT) have to brake, slow down, peer over, and ogle it. It’s just a truck and there’s nothing special about it— you’ve seen thousands just like it and just because there’s one on your commute doesn’t mean you have to hold up traffic!
We’ll even go get you a picture of it so you can stare at it later when you’re at work instead while driving. What a deal!
UPDATE: Video posted in the comments, as promised!
