Two dead, three injured following semi truck explosion at FL truck dealer

Two people are dead and three are injured after multiple semi trucks and other vehicles exploded in a serious fire at a Florida truck dealer on Tuesday morning. 

The incident occurred ar around 8:40 a.m. on February 21st in Medley, Florida on Northwest South River Drive.

According to CNN, Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue responded to reports of an explosion at a truck dealership. “Upon arriving to the scene, crews found multiple vehicles on fire,” said Anthony Nuñez, a fire department spokesperson.

More than 20 Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to the scene, which was under control by Tuesday afternoon. 

“Crews deployed multiple hose lines to put the fire out,” the fire department said. 

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, two sustained burn injuries, and a third injured person was treated at the scene. One of the burn victims was airlifted while the other was transported to the hospital by ambulance. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
