VIDEO: Truck Driver Challenges Border Patrol, Goes To Jail For 19 Days

According to the video’s description, the man in the video is Gregory R.  On September 26, 2014, he was a passenger in a truck that had stopped at an immigration checkpoint on I-35 in Laredo, Texas.  Gregory is a U.S. citizen.

Border Patrol agents asked Gregory the standard questions, but he refused to answer.

The Border Patrol agent placed Gregory under arrest.  Agents searched the truck, trailer and the driver.

Gregory spent 19 days in jail and was put on a $75,000 bond.  He’s being charged with a felony non-compliance.

Gregory’s attorney was able to get the charges dismissed.

“So they illegally arrested us with fake charges,lied to us,have not seen a lawyer for 2 weeks after my arrest,but eventually justice was served,and it was dismissed.But I feel like being kidnapped,for standing up for people’s rights,and I am filing charges against the immigration checkpoint and homeland security,wish me good luck,and live free as you are supposed to be….Thank you,” the video’s description states.
