The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) set dates for upcoming human trafficking awareness campaigns in North America.
The CVSA will hold the agency’s annual Human Trafficking Awareness Initiative (HTAI) in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada on the following dates in 2024:
- U.S. — January 8 — 12
- Canada — February 19 — 23
- Mexico — March 11 — 15
The goal of each five-day HTAI is to educate commercial motor vehicle drivers, motor carriers, law enforcement officers and the general public about the crime of human trafficking, the signs to look for and what to do if you suspect someone is being trafficked.
During HTAI 2023, 3,020 individual law enforcement officers/troopers/inspectors from 45 jurisdictions participated.
