Teamsters Endorse Highway Bill That Requires EOBRs

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters have endorsed the Highway Transportation Bill, which would mandate all long-haul trucks to be equipped with EOBRs.

OOIDA has already spoken out against the regulation, stating that EOBRs would be costly for drivers and could allow for driver harassment.

“Support coming from the Teamsters, who filed comments to the government in 2007 opposing EOBRs, proves that this is more about attacking independent contractors and small businesses than safety, said OOIDA executive vice-president Todd Spencer.
