Equipment Failure Causes Concrete Load To Slip

Published:

This lucky driver had a brush with death last week when a 90,000-pound Carrera Precast Ready-Mix concrete beam crashed into the back of the his cab on Hampton’s, Route 101 in New Hampshire.

Fortunately, 74-year old Clarence Short of Vermont was not injured.

Eastbound Route 101 remained closed for a while between exit 12 and I-95’s ramp for clean-up.

The load was being escorted by certified professionals at the time of the accident.

Equipment failure is suspected to be the cause of the accident.
