Ice-T Defends 2nd Amendment, Others DisagreeThe recent Colorado shootings have shone a brighter spotlight on the issue of gun control, and with the upcoming election, it’s sure to be a hot campaign issue.  Law & Order star and rapper Ice-T recently spoke about about the issue of gun control on a London news show.

“I’ll give up my gun when everybody else does,” he told Channel 4 London News. “It’s legal in the United States. The right to bear arms is because that’s the last form of defense against tyranny, not to hunt. It’s to protect yourself from the police.”

The news anchor then asks Ice-T if he thinks it would be harder for people to kill others without guns.  Ice-T responds by saying he doesn’t think so, adding that in other countries people just strap on bombs to kill large amounts of people.

Following the interview with the London new channel, Ice-T tweeted this: “My comment on guns got a lot of press. They call me ‘Gangster’ don’t forget ‘US Army Vet.” He then added, “A little gun history,” linking to a document titled, “BLACK HISTORY and the Second Amendment.
