Semi Truck Accident January 4, 2014
The Ontario truck driver, 31-year-old driver, Akmal Hayat, plead guilty to careless driving and has been fined $2,500 for the near-accident incident.
At one time, Hayat faced two other charges via the highway traffic act, including failure to report and failure to remain at an accident. However, those charges have since been withdrawn.
Hayat was tracked down using the dash cam footage after thorough examination and enhancement.
The investigation totaled around 40-50 hours of work.
