Two Truck Drivers Team With Motorist To Save Woman Dangling From Bridge

A motorist teamed with two truck drivers to save a woman dangling from the Mansfield Bridge in Boston this week.

Twenty-seven year Navy veteran Paul Delaughter noticed a woman clinging to the fence over the bridge. Unsure as to whether she had fallen or was attempting to hurt herself, Delaughter says his instincts kicked in. He stopped traffic, then asked for help from two truck drivers.

The drivers maneuvered their trucks under the bridge to at least shorten the woman’s fall if her grip failed. Then Delaughter was able to climb on top of the trucks and pull the woman from the bridge to safety.
