Trucker Dead For Four Days Before Trooper Finds Body In Parked Rig

Published:

Pennsylvania investigators believe that an Oklahoma truck driver had been dead inside the cab of his truck for at least four days before he was discovered in a convenience store parking lot.

Driver’s Body Discovered After Employee Tips Off Trooper

The body of 39 year old truck driver Shannon L. Roberson was discovered on Tuesday morning in the parking lot of a Sheetz store in Jackson Township, Pennsylvania. He was found slumped over in the cab of the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Roberson’s body was only discovered after a Pennsylvania State Trooper stopped into the Sheetz store. A Sheetz employee told the trooper that the truck had been parked in the lot outside for several days.

Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said that Roberson was likely dead for four or five days before he was discovered.

Drug paraphernalia was found in the truck, but it will take weeks to get the toxicology report back to determine the cause of death.

Police do not suspect foul play at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
