Authorities in Georgia say that they recently arrested a truck driver for several serious substance use violations.

The Georgia Department of Public Safety shared information about the driver’s arrest as their “Violation of the Week” on the agency’s Facebook page on October 19.

“Violation of the Week — SFC Teet (Region 5) was requested to assist a local agency in reference to a CMV driver hallucinating at a truck stop. Upon speaking with the driver, it was discovered that he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. With the assistance of Trooper Harman, a cab inspection was conducted and multiple cans and bottles of alcohol were found along with a scale and hypodermic needles. The driver was arrested and the case will proceed through the court system.”

Authorities did not provide information on the driver’s identity or the truck stop location where he was arrested.
