Semi’s load of starch immediately ignites in flash fire when smashed by a train in this wild video

Published:

An off-duty firefighter caught remarkable footage of a truck vs. train crash that occurred in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Thursday.

The incident occurred shortly after 8 a.m. at a railroad crossing at Massachusetts Ave and Olney Street.

According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, the truck “stalled” on the tracks and was struck by an oncoming CSX train.

No injuries were reported, but the truck’s load of barrels full of starch product erupted in flames at the moment of impact.

Firefighters said that the fire occurred “due to ignition source of collision combined with perfect starch to air ratio.”
