VIDEO: Customer says he’s refusing the load unless the driver can get it into the backyard

Published:

In this video, a customer and a flatbed truck driver have a disagreement over the meaning of the term “curbside delivery” that results in the customer refusing the load.

Video of the incident was shared by Safford Delivery and Transportation Services on August 24, 2021.

Here’s what the company had to say about what happened:

…so today we had a delivery going to this customer in which we gave them an hour call ahead and he had a whole attitude on the phone before we even got there which is the story you were hearing when the video first turned on. pulled up to the customer’s house and he doesn’t understand what a curbside delivery means and then begins to tell us that he doesn’t want the material unless we can fit it through a gate by wiggling the machine through and we had not even seen what the site looks like so we offer to just take the material off and see what we can do when we got up there but that wasn’t good enough for him. Customer refused to order We ended up bringing the order back to the shipper which was like 7 minutes away from where we were So it wasn’t that big of a deal
